Cuticles - Major Works LP xx1967 simple and bleak with HardingsGeez, not every day that a new rock record floors me like Cuticles have! The 7 from earlier this year was great, but the LP kicks it up a whole other level. All at once contemporary and off the cuff yet melodic lo fi clatter that avoids so much of the annoying art rock or neanderthal rock posturing that seems to float around these days, just uncut no BS guitar music! One that recalls for me the frenzied spew of ideas that comes from Guided By Voices
