Pitmaston Russet Nonpareil Year:1 YR Drops late September to mid-OctoberA late, juicy and aromatic eating apple. A medium greenish yellow with russet and some pale red flush. Very juicy with a distinct perfume. Drops mid October and keeps into the new year. Raised by John Williams at Pitmaston, Worcs, around 1815. Lindley in 1831 called it 'a dessert apple of great merit in November and December'.
