I've now spent more on alterations than I spent on the dress (+$1200), plus +250 just to have it cleaned because it was a sample (not even including steaming and pressing before the wedding)

To make ours more modern and versatile, we swapped out the button down collar for a slim spread collar, making it easy to dress up with a tie and a blazer, as well as giving it a French placket for cleaner lines
