It can be used in conduit or ariel applications under short span lengths (30m or less). Drop cable is ideally used in shorter distance connections (under 4km), primarily due to the construction of the cable. Drop fibre is constructed with very little outer jacket protection, though it is UV treated for outdoor use it has very little inner layer protection compared to HDD, ADSS or CST fibre cable types.
