Valley Below Sculptures Acrylic on canvas 31 ½”Valdez Overlook Taos, NM This scenic view of the village of Valdez, just north of Taos, was painted en Plein Air from the rim road above. Its a breathtaking view and a favorite of many plein air painters. I started painting one summer morning, until it became too hot, and then went back the next day to complete it. The challenging aspect of this painting was to differentiate the components of the landscape because everything was green.
