Eliel Saarinen "Hannes" Armchairs for Adelta Oy, Finland, c. 1980 1970s which dates pre 1947A pair of Hannes armchairs designed by Eliel Saarinen in 1908 and produced by Adelta Oy, Finland in the 80s. Executed in solid mahogany wood with crocodile embossed imitation leather and foam padded seats, these chairs reflect Saarinens architectural approach to furniture design, balancing structural rigor with refined craftsmanship. The chairs were designed for the home of Eliel's brother Hannes. Both chairs bear a label numbered 195 and 196.
