Casks have been selected by malt master Brian Kinsman, then married in Glenfiddichs Solera system. So this expression reminds me a bit about their 15 year old which is a marriage of two different casks (sherry and new oak) in Solera vat. Select Cask is only younger and made using slightly different casks.
