The flower was originally part of a silver topped 14k yellow gold brooch (circa 1830-1860) that our jeweler transformed by welding on a split 14k yellow gold ring band

and under magnification there are visible chips to several of the rose cuts

however the two diamonds dangling from the bottom of the earrings are badly chipped (visible under magnification)
