Hes seated in what appears to be a wooded area with one arm resting on the foot of a tree. With his well tailored outfit and perfectly coiffured moustache, he carries the air of a distinguished country gentleman. On his left, theres a green hat that looks similar to a mariners cap perhaps a clue as to his profession or interests. The portrait is housed within a swept giltwood
