李朝らしい柔らかな造形の石鍋です。使い込まれて丸くなった石肌は野の花を呼びます。

このように、様々な禅的教訓と共に描かれることも多い猿猴図ですが、本作品の猿には、教訓めいたものはないようです。おだやかな眼の日本猿が竹林でただたゆらう様が自在に描かれています。
