I think people were down on this guy because the fight ability looked better than it is at first glance, but in a format where ramp is good, this card is a two-for-one that can also finish the game

To get a mana advantage out of the card you have to pay two life however the strength of the card is not so much that you can be one mana better off than your opponent over an exchange but that you can make the exchange when you have no spare mana

If the card has immediate board impact, is it on rate if taxed by 1-2 mana or am I spending too much to interact in the way it wants
