The bowl is much bigger, and the foot (kodai) is higher, and it has a distinctive grandeur look. It was first created in the 17th Century Gouroku area of Noto Peninsula in the Ishikawa Prefecture, close to Wajima. It was designed with the intention that the bowl be used by placing it directly on the floor, not on the legged tray (typical at that time); therefore, the foot
