Cask No. 5.100 Fathers Day 2 The initial taste was hotThe nose was smile inducing, with peaches, apples and pears (some of them wrapped in pastry), honeycomb, creamy rusks and a faint but heady whiff of lily. The palate also displayed some of that sweet creaminess in the shape of carnation milk in tea, cinder toffee and vanilla fudge but it also had a fresh, floral aspect (pineapple, grape skins). The reduced nose uncovered honeysuckle and herbs, emulsion paint and wax, brandy snaps and cinnamon swirls.
