高さ25cmで、茶室の床の間におさまりの良い大きさです。水漏れなく状態も良好です。

紙の状態からおそらく桃山・江戸頃の作品と思われますが、当時の流行や、思想的背景からは少し距離をおいて、純粋に絵を楽しんでいた作者の姿があったような気がします。猿の柔らかな佇まいに潜む、毛の微細な表現、表情、その絵筆には、素朴な楽しみの中に作者のただならぬ才能を感じます。

こっくりとした李朝の白磁、大変状態の良い餅型です。菓子器に見立てたり、文鎮、などにもお使いいただけます。
