The piece is made of cranberry coloured crystal cased in clear lead crystal, producing a luminous effect typical of Val Saint Lamberts postwar designs. The bowl is formed with a softly undulating, four lobed rim and a clear pedestal base. The design is characteristic of the studios modernist period during the 1950s1960s, when designers
