Cask No. 13.111 Juicy oak & vanilla This single cask rum marriesThe neat nose displayed a vibrant and rather minty sherry profile, with a lot of orange notes such as spiced marmalade, orange blossom, satsuma and blood orange. Some water made it broader, more aromatic and richer, with many more dark fruits, pickled ginger, balsamic glaze and a dense, rich, earthy note. The neat palate displayed more wood spices, more ginger, some nibbling tannin, herbal liqueurs, woodruff tea, grapefruit and a nice tinge of rancio.
