炉内はよく煤がついており、実際に使い込まれてきた雰囲気です。

14世紀以降にタイの古窯場スワンカロークで焼かれた陶器は、桃山時代から江戸初期にかけて日本に舶載され、宋胡録・寸古録（スンコロク）と呼び、当時の茶人たちは茶道具に見立てて楽しんだと伝えられています。

時代を経て枯れた木味、虫食い、亀裂も、魅力的な佇まいです。
