It comes from a very cool vintage, one that was exceptional for Chardonnay and Pinot Noirbut not necessarily where youd expect big reds to shine. That said, the Wismer Parke Vineyard on the escarpment has a track record of producing beautifully structured reds, and this is a great example of that. Theres a real structure to the wine.
