The unit was originally constituted March 14, 1941, as Company B, 503rd Parachute Battalion. It conducted the first combat jump in U. S. history from C 47 aircraft and dropped the battalion into Algeria. The 2 503 was nicknamed "The Rock" for their tough paratroopers and we are glad to pay homage with this remastered design.
