Antique Silk Brocade Panel with Urns & Fruit in Bower: C18th France men's folk costume wallhangings and embroideries throughout theA wonderful long narrow length of handwoven silk brocade dating from the early 18th century. Depicting urns with fruit on plinths surrounded by green bowers. Woven through with real silver thread we think this was probably made as a furnishing fabric which would have looked wonderful glittering under candlelight.
