Medium to large fruit sometimes very large greenish yellow skin almost wholly coloured with dark red flush in the sun, pale russet in the shade. Ready early October, will keep into the new year. A cross between Cox's Orange Pippin and Worcester Permain believed to have been raised by the head gardener, William Crump, at Madresfield Court, Worcestershire and introduced by Rowe's Nurseries in 1908.
