This card is a likely reference to a story from later in the book of Genesis, from chapter 37: Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors. This story, in which Israels favored son is sold into slavery and rises through divine providence to govern Egypt, sets the stage for Mosess liberation of the Israelites throughout the next two books of the Torah, and is the inspiration for Andrew Lloyd Webbers Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, an absolute classic of musical theatre and/or peak cringe
