Barbflare has a single extra point of attack than Irreverent, it has that "haste" ability that lets it attack immediately on entering play, and while it doesn't have menace, it does have first strike, which is equally suitable

The green decks in Pioneer are just great for other reasons, and Veil of Summer just piles on the disparity

For the extra insult, the Jump+3 skill costs more JP than the completely superior Ignore Height and Teleport skills note , and requires you to first unlock the Dancer job which takes a lot longer to do than unlocking the Lancer/Dragoon and Time Mage (which have Ignore Height and Teleport respectively)
