I think the draw back is almost negligible because 1) it doesn't cost you a Normal Summon, 2) it doesn't have a hard once per turn, and 3) if your Deck is mostly dedicated to Light monsters, and your Light Extra Deck monsters have some good utility to work with you are generally fine to lose out on other options
