When a Pokmon is Poisoned, you must attach one damage counter on that Pokmon after each player's turn
We also have lots of poison payoffs like Glistening Sphere, a 3-drop mana rock that proliferates and taps for 3, Distorted Curiosity, 1 mana draw 2, and Corrupted Resolve, a straight up Counterspell that is easier to cast
Even if you decide to pass on fetchlands, Temples and surveil lands could be reasonable options still, especially for two-color decks, so again, if you arent playing at least one and your deck can, I believe you are leaving some very low cost equity on the table
However you end up building around Suspend, expect to be surprised at how good it is
