That isn't an insane thing to do, but I think there are much better places for both of them
it can be dangerous, especially in decks with higher average mana values, but an extra card per turn is often worth the risk
Most of what's worthwhile here comes from the expensive half of the Exquisite Blood/Sanguine Bond combo, and then there's just a few cheap removal spells
